Copernicus Airport Wroclaw is the fifth busiest airport in Poland, and one of the few that sits inside the city it serves: the Strachowice district, about 10 km west of the centre. A single international terminal handles every passenger, so there is one arrivals hall, one set of doors, and one obvious place for a chauffeur to stand.

Give the booking form your flight number and the address you are heading for, and a figure for the whole vehicle comes back in seconds. That figure is fixed before you pay. It belongs to the car rather than to each seat, and it holds whether the road into town is kind to us or not.

Wroclaw is the capital of Lower Silesia and the airport is the region's front door, so plenty of the passengers spilling out of that terminal have somewhere else to be entirely. One team arranges the ride and answers for it from the booking to the last kilometre, which is why a hotel near the market square, a plant an hour away and an intercity ride to Krakow or Warsaw are all the same booking.

    After baggage reclaim

Which way you leave WRO decides your first hour

The terminal stands about 10 km from the market square, so nothing on this list eats your afternoon. The waiting is what you notice here: the minutes before anything moves, and whether the ride stops for anyone but you.

    City buses, day and night

    a standard city ticket

Both finish at the main railway station, so unless you are sleeping nearby the last leg is yours to solve with a tram, a taxi or a walk.

A second bus, to a suburban station

    the same city ticket

Żerniki is a local station rather than the main one, so it only helps when your onward train or your address is out that way.

    The rank outside arrivals

    metered

You learn the total at the far end, and when several flights land in the same quarter hour the queue for the rank grows.

A chauffeured car takes the whole journey off your hands at WRO: terminal door to front door, in one vehicle, with no last leg for you to work out on foot or by tram. That matters most on the days you land as four people with a winter's worth of luggage, when the drive into Wroclaw is better spent in a quiet, air conditioned cabin than at a bus stop.

The run from Strachowice into Wroclaw is short by any measure. What you are really booking is the part before it: someone already waiting on the other side of those doors while you are still working out which way is out.

    Included as standard

What waits for you at Copernicus Airport

    Flight tracking

We follow your inbound flight into WRO and shift the pickup with it, so an hour lost in the air costs you nothing on the ground.

    A name board in arrivals

Your chauffeur stands at the exit from baggage reclaim with your name held up, and you have a photograph and a phone number before you take off.

    60 minutes of free waiting

Every airport booking includes an hour after touchdown, which covers passport control, a slow belt and a wrong turn in the terminal.

    Sedans and vans

An S-Class, a V-Class or the equivalent, matched to how many of you there are and how much luggage came off the belt with you.

    Your price before you book

Type both addresses into the form and the amount for the whole car appears at once, well before anyone asks for card details.

    English-speaking chauffeurs

The chauffeur who meets your flight speaks English, so a change of plan or a request to stop on the way lands the first time.

    Onward anywhere in Poland

The booking does not end at the city boundary: Lower Silesia, the mountains, or a city several hours away, in the same car.

    Wroclaw Airport transfer FAQ

Where will my chauffeur be waiting at Wroclaw Airport?

In the arrivals hall of the single terminal, right where passengers come out of baggage reclaim, next to a board carrying your name. The chauffeur's photograph, the car's registration and a phone number reach you while you are still in the air, so you can ring the moment you are through the doors.

My flight gets in after midnight. Will anyone be there?

Yes. Late arrivals are ordinary work for us, and the pickup is scheduled from your flight rather than from a timetable, so a delay in the air simply moves it. A night bus does run to the main railway station, though it sets you down there with your bags and the last part of the journey still to make.

Is the amount I see at booking the amount I pay?

Yes. You approve one number for the vehicle and that is what leaves your card. Traffic on the way in, a queue at passport control and a long walk through the terminal change nothing. The one thing that would change it is a change to the job itself, an extra stop or a second address added after we have set off.

Can you drive me on from Wroclaw to another Polish city?

Yes, and it is one of the commoner reasons people book us at this terminal. Krakow, Warsaw, Poznan, Katowice or a village nobody has heard of: name the destination and the same chauffeur takes you the whole way, with no swap of car at the city boundary. The routes people ask for most sit on our intercity rides page.

How far ahead should I book, and what if the airline moves me to another flight?

Book as soon as you hold a flight number; the day before usually still works. If the airline reroutes you, send us the new number and we re-time the pickup around it. Should the replacement land at four in the morning, someone is there at four in the morning.

    Other arrivals

    Landing at a different airport?

We meet arrivals at Krakow, Katowice and Warsaw Chopin as well.
